Lyric Breakdown 

“Really didn’t move east of Illinois due to city mess. Same thing on the Eastside, got to College, never further west. Racism gon always play a part in lack of true access”

This line came out of a conversation I had with Sampson Livingston. He showed me this map and explained how segregation worked in Indianapolis during the mid 20th century. The map really helps give a visual to the walls of segregation that were put up by the city.
